Robin Anson will participate in the Fair Trade Session at the IAF Convention in New Delhi, India on November 19-20, 2009

Robin Anson, editorial director of Textiles Intelligence, has been invited to participate as a panellist in the Fair Trade Session at the International Apparel Federation’s 25th World Apparel Convention on November 19-20, 2009, in New Delhi, India.

The session will discuss the following questions regarding fair trade:

  • How can apparel fashion ensure fair trade?
  • Should International Social Compliance Norms be compliant to local conditions?
  • How can social and environmental responsibilities be shared throughout the value chain? And
  • How can awareness and education be more effective?

Other sessions at this year’s IAF conference will be:

  • Asia – From a sourcing hub to a fashion destination;
  • India – a destination to partnerships: an exciting retail opportunity for international fashion;

The conference will be held at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi, India.
