Business information company Textiles Intelligence is pleased to be a media partner at a forthcoming Industrial Fabrics Association International (IAFI) event, Advanced Textiles 2010, which is to be held on June 16-17, 2010 in Paris, France.
The event is being managed and co-organised by the Germany based communication agency IHofmann, which specialises in technical textiles and building up strategic alliances. IHofmann also developed the concept of the event.
According to IHofmann's chief executive officer (CEO), Dr Isa Hofmann: "The concept is to provide decision makers in the complex value chain of technical textiles the occasion to meet on a professional platform, getting inspiration, face to face contacts and networking opportunities in an inspiring ambiance. With Advanced Textiles we want to contribute to initiate new cross-sector innovation projects and comfort our industry to bank on the power of innovation."
For Advanced Textiles 2010, IFAI will partner with Clubtex, an association for the promotion of technical textiles based in France. In addition, several other associations and government institutions are supporting the event, including: the German Industrial Association for Finishing, Yarns, Fabrics and Technical Textiles (IVGT); the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF); the US Department of Commerce; and Union des Industries Textiles (UIT), the French textile industry association.
According to Clubtex, more than 400 French companies are listed as having a major strategic focus on technical textiles. They are essentially small and medium sized companies with an international scope. The two major regions for technical textile companies in France are: Nord-Pas de Calais, with more than 150 companies employing around 8,000 people; and Rhône-Alpes, with about 140 companies employing around 10,000 people.
There will be 25 lectures at the event on a range of sectors -- including medical, architecture, protection and security as well as sports and agriculture.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase selected Textiles Intelligence reports at discounted prices.
